Our Mission
Hicks Family Dental was founded with the main purpose of continuing the excellent, compassionate care that Olson Family Dental has provided to the Quad City area for decades.
Our team strives to offer comprehensive dental care with a modern approach to achieve standard of care. We promise to use evidence-based techniques and diagnostics to guide our individualized treatment plans for each unique patient. We hope to garner relationships and earn the respect and trust that Dr. Olson has with each of you while welcoming new patients with the same goals in mind.
Our Team
Dr. Ryan Hicks, DDS
Dr. Ryan Hicks is proud to call the Midwest home. He grew up in Kewanee, Illinois, and graduated from Kewanee High School in 2014. He went on to earn bachelor’s degrees in Biology (Pre-Dental) and Communications from Augustana College before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2024.
Following dental school, Dr. Hicks spent two years practicing as a full-time associate dentist in Illinois, where he developed experience in comprehensive general dentistry while building lasting relationships with patients. He is passionate about providing personalized, high-quality dental care in a comfortable environment and is excited to establish a practice where individuals and families can confidently receive all of their dental care under one roof.
Dr. Hicks believes that every patient deserves to be treated with honesty, compassion, and respect. He enjoys getting to know each person who walks through the door and works to ensure every visit is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Outside the office, Dr. Hicks and his wife, Hannah, enjoy life in the Quad Cities with their Bernedoodle, Lotti, and their cat, Archer. Whether he’s training for an Ironman triathlon, reading a good book, working in the yard, grilling with family and friends, or cheering on Chicago sports teams, Dr. Hicks values living an active life and spending quality time with the people he loves. He especially enjoys visiting family in Kewanee and his in-laws in Eldridge.
